BurniGRay (Jingru Ao) graduated from the Royal College of Art. As a multimedia artist, BurniGRay's practice primarily encompasses moving image, installation, painting, and performance. Her work is deeply rooted in temporality and the plurality of temporal experiences, with her creative process typically revolving around the exploration and interrogation of commonly accepted concepts of space, time, memory, and philosophy. She explores the often overlooked relationships between self and others in collective life, revealing the complex meanings of contemporary existence.

BurniGRay's work has been exhibited at M P Birla Millennium Gallery, Safehouse 2 and Ugly Duck in London, and York Art Gallery in York, and was longlisted for the Aesthetica Art Prize 2025 by Aesthetica Magazine.
