Performance
At 7:21 on October 27th, I took the first
bus at Guangzhou Railway Station to
start my performance art. It ended at
Huangcun Station at 19:13. The act lasted
nearly 12 hours. I took 11 buses, crossed
six districts for a total of 155km, recorded
videos of 91.3G, and drew 31 sketches of
passengers.
This project was inspired by "isolated
solitude". The drama Waiting for Godot
enabled me to immerse in creative
thinking. Human beings are always in
the imaginary hope, unaware of the
reality that "waiting for hope will be in
vain"
. I chose performance art to create
a purposeless and hopeless waiting,
during which I tried to emphasize the
process of waiting as much as possible
and eliminate the purpose of waiting.
